I fear they have no choice

I should let them know I’ll be happy to run a sock puppet account for them where I obligatorily say the same 5 things they say in every thread so they can rest easy in knowing their POV is represented and they can delete their account lmao

You see THIS is the attitude all politicians should have. Pot holes and trash collection are just as important as foreign policy and nationwide laws.

Every decision matters.

There's a reason the Lib Dems reached the position they did in 2010. They got their hands dirty at the local level.

Just to save you know who a little bit of time:

What a fraud. He’s only doing this for social media, meanwhile real New Yorkers hate him. He needs to stop acting like the Mayor of Gaza and start doing things for real New Yorkers, not white transplants in gentrified neighborhoods.

That being said: feel free to sit this one out, sister, unless you have something else to contribute.

I admire Mamdani a lot and still would even if he was right wing because he does something I’ve not seen many political people do in my life; he is a proud “small fry” politician.

He has given no indication of wanting to advance up a political ladder for a better salary or a bigger position of power. He genuinely seems to care about the well being of New York and the people in it even the ones who don’t like him. You can tell he loves the place he comes from in a patriotic way that’s also not blindly patriotic.

And also, the fact he can’t run for president is actually a blessing because you KNOW the Democrats would have been trying every way they could to make him run for office. And I think he would win. But that restriction kind of shows he’s clearly interested in being in community politics and not just having a title of being a politician.
