Low appetite and ADHD means I'm either too focused on something else, don't feel hungry or making a meal feels too overwhelming to start or too many steps People will see me eat a big meal and they'll be like "omg how can you eat so much and be so skinny?! You must have a fast metabolism" and the reality is I've skipped breakfast and/or lunch Edited August 7 by sarahb Do you feel him sir? 1

But what he says here is that he doesn't take pleasure in it, with reason unspecified, as if the problem was the food was not good enough for him, or his taste sense didn't work, and eating itself was a chore, which is a different thing than finding the process unpleasant for for fear of gaining weight, or to maintain a certain look, in that case eating is still a pleasure but they deprive themselves from it. which he didn't allude to anything like that, but also people who have this kind of relationship with food don't like to admit it out loud. You must have a fast metabolism" and the reality is I've skipped breakfast and/or lunch i mean low appetite is a different thing than to find no pleasure in eating tho, i did not find pleasure in eating growing up because my mom didn't know how to cook and only did the basics of the basics, she hated cooking as an activity so everything was same tasting and unseasoned, and that's fine, not every woman has to love the kitchen, but yes growing up eating was a real chore for me and did it only to survive, yet i loved the few times i got to eat out and experience what a delicious food is. As an adult i learned how to cook and to make food that i enjoy eating, but the problem now is that cooking is indeed overwhelming, time consuming and you gotta put a lot of work in it, life conditions and depression doesn't help and i end up skipping meals and with a headache. This is not a problem rich people like him face tho.

iAmToton 211
I have almost the opposite problem, binge eating, and I had to adjust my meals to make them as boring and routinary as possible to avoid spiraling. Apart from therapy, thinking of food as a survival chore, rather than an emotional event that is either positive or negative, really clicked for me. It helped me see food from a different perspective, rather than as a trap. I think his perspective is valid. He doesn’t say he doesn’t wnt to eat; he says he eats to survive. And for someone struggling with their relationship with food, that can be a much healthier perspective than seeing food as either an enemy or a refuge. In fact, the whole food industry tends to associate food with joy, celebration, reunion, emotions… etc. But at its most basic level, food is fuel and thinking about it that way has helped me make better choices about what I eat and how much I eat I’m managing my relationship with food quite well with that same mindset 🤗 𝖂𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖉𝖎𝖊

This guy at least opened up about it instead of pretending that all is ok and "stop talking about my body", he could have say it differently and less glorifying, but u can feel his struggle between the words. It's a very delicate topic after all. having an eating disorder is a mental illness/disorder - the same way ppl have anxiety or depression. people deal with it in different ways. having an ED is not a moral failing, its an illness that people cope differently with. this is a classic case of sexism, ariana is getting dragged and people are calling her names and saying she deserves to die while this guy just admitted he finds eating food disgusting and yall are showing him sympathy, saying hes brave for even saying anything. both should be left alone to deal with their illnesses in privacy - a huge part of ED that people struggle with is denial, body dysmorphia completely warps your perception of how you see your body. ariana was bullied early on in her career and told by producers on victorious that she needed to lose weight in order to stay on the show, that completely changed her perception of her body - she lost weight and became super famous which again validated her need for maintaining a skinny profile. body dysmorphia ****s with ur brain and makes you think you are bigger than you actually are, so ari probably thinks she looks healthy because shes spent so many years chasing this ultra thin body. yall dont really understand the history. even demi said the people around her refused to say anything about her ED because she was making them so much money, ari is stuck in the same situation since shes making everyone around her so much money. like i dont know how u dont understand that her perception of her body is not calibrated properly - what the world sees as sick, probably looks normal to her because of her mental disorder. at the end of the day all people should be saying is "i hope shes doing okay and gets the rest and help she needs" but ppl wanna be shady... 90% of comments ive seen are rude and really vile. if you knew anything about ED, you would know that people can relapse into old behaviors even after being fine for a long time. at the end of the day its an illness and no one should ever be bashed for being sick, whether it be a physical or mental ailment, just let the deal with it and hope they get the treatment they need. she also probably feels the need to focus on touring and releasing music over dealing with it, its such a nuanced and complex situation and all you guys should be saying is " i hope she gets better ". if anyone should be criticized it should be her family and friends who are not doing their best to get her help - she is the victim in this and yall should not be bashing someone who is sick. On 8/6/2026 at 6:19 PM, Ilia Malinin said: i used to think like this and have started to again. with the rise of glp-1s and thin bodies becoming something everyone wants again, my brain is starting to relapse into disordered patterns after i'd worked so hard for the last 12 years to not think like that again. i look at how many calories are in food, i look at how much sodium and sugar is in it. it's horrifying to be thinking like this and anyone, no matter what gender they identify as, should be given genuine sympathy and empathy, guided towards help even if they don't think they need it. i didn't think i did and it nearly killed me. this isn't something people should ever ignore, even when the one with it says they're fine. it took me being forced to get help to realise i needed it. everyone keeps saying "oh, he's back, he's back!" but the truth is i never left! Matt 469
That's actually how I have always felt in regards to eating, so for me, it's sort of nice to hear a male "celebrity" say that. I have always wanted to be thin and I have managed to lose a lot of weight over the past two years, I know I have probably gone further than I should have, but my vitals are better than they ever have been, and I am finally starting to like the way I look for once. It also makes me a bit sad when I see people scrutinize public figures like Ariana and Sombr for their body's. We don't know them on a personal level, it takes a lot of stamina to perform like they do. I just know how I feel when people make comments about my now thin appearance. I used to love cooking but I got a job that takes a little more time out of my day so that hobby was the first to be zapped. Catch me in my kitchen twice a week 'cause I really can't stand the chore of it all. Girl just prep on a free day. I used to work from home so I LOVED to cook and had so much time. But now I am back at the office so I gotta manage my time. I try to do 30 mins a day MAX for cooking and try to always have stuff like sauces, dressings, and things of that like ready to go. I also have things chopped ready to go to start cooking when I get home. I dunno, doing this has made life a lot easier and it still allow me to cook and enjoy a hobby I used to have.

I used to prep too but idk, I just lost the passion for actually making meals. When I get home from work the first few hours are dedicated to my dog and then I'll spend some time with any of my hobbies (mostly music these days). I have no desire to be in that kitchen longer than it takes to throw something in the oven that requires minimal prep like a baked potato or chicken or something Whimsical bitch
