But like that was an intentional choice that fit the new romantic era they were helping usher in and define. The verses here just feel half baked. The production is also just so lumbering for something that’s obviously intended to be groovy. Given that it’s clearly inspired by I Was Made For Loving You by KISS, I think if they had leaned more into a fusion of glam rock and disco with more live drumming and a groovier overall feel the track would’ve landed better.
