Madonna and Kylie Amsterdam Pride!

im gonna be honest, as much as a I love Madonna... her performances have been pretty lackluster and low energy lately.

I'll give her a pass since she's 67 and has health issues, but so far she seems really lazy when it comes to singing. Just based on this performance, I see her missing cues and letting the backing track do most of the work. 

Also the BYL mix is terrible. Idk why she doesn't sing the original one. Maybe I'm expecting too much from this since it's probably something more casual than an actual performance. 

Lastly, they both did not sound good...

she's not actually performing at these, she is basically there to promote and hype people up.

Beyond the fact that these are not performances, they’re appearances at what are essentially Stuart Price DJ sets, you said it yourself. 

She’s 67 with no cartilage remaining in her left knee and she had a hip replacement 6 years ago. 

All things considered she’s doing quite well. It isn’t laziness, it’s her finally adapting to the reality of her limitations rather than pushing herself to injury again. 

If she tours, I expect to see toned down choreo and more of a focus on atmosphere and theatrics.

This. Seriously some people just think it’s all so easy. I’m grateful I got to experience yet another brilliant Madonna era and hope she doesn’t take long for the next era. Even if that ends up being ballads or slower jams like in Erotica or Bedtime Stories.

Right, but I was talking vocally. I'm not gonna criticize her for not dancing obviously, but Ik she can do better as a singer, especially now that she doesn't have to do heavy choreo or dancing.
