DopeEnigma 1,798
Congrats Charli, she deserves a lot of credit for her work, glad she’s still performing prior albums, the SOPHIE years were special and culminated in Brat but I do like the new music too.

iAmToton 235
Charli XCX basically went from making catchy mainstream pop to becoming one of pop’s biggest innovators. She stopped trying to fit into the industry, started making weird music that a lot of people didn’t get at first, and ended up influencing a whole generation of artists. Then Brat happened, and instead of changing for the mainstream, the mainstream finally caught up with her. That’s style. That’s iconic. That’s beeing an impactful artist ❤️ 𝖂𝖊 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖉𝖎𝖊 1
PinkJelly 1,857
I guess that says a lot more about the landscape of the music business at the moment than it does anything else. MFF is awful, surprised it charted at all after all the singles failed to really impact. 1 4
Snorlax 6,371
Mmmm MFF is just her talking and repeating the same lyrics over soft rocks beats. Brat remains her best album to date 3

We’re all in our little bubbles, algorithms have separated everyone, there’s not a big difference between mainstream-alternative anymore because there’s no actual mainstream. Look at CII, is anyone talking about it? I fear not. (no hate intended I loved the album). Eras are not a thing anymore, artists tease, probably release single for hype, and finally the album comes out. And mayb a tour.
