ARTPOP.

and the ARTPOPsters can die on the hills and let their dead body rot as long as they want, but nothing would change the fact that it's her worst album.

So true bestie so true

The Fame is the correct answer. The sound of The Fame, that late 00s dance pop is very of its time and doing something like that again would be a mistake. It's the only Gaga album I think of as being stuck in that era and not being timeless.

The fact with Joanne, even if you didn't like it or it wasn't for you, if she were to do a similiar soft rock/country style record again we know she's capable of making something better than what Joanne ended up being. Although personally I really like it and the only thing that let it down were the singles being quite weak.

Chromatica. Everything about the album, the music and the era (except the tour) felt forced. It was as if she was screaming in everyone's faces: "Hey, look, I'm Gaga again!" The music also didn't age that well. To me, the songs sound pretty dated.

For me it's Joanne. I cant help but feel the whole era was rushed and it shows - from her first meeting with Mark to the album being released was like 9 months in total. Not an impossible task for Gaga, she created TFM in an equally short time but that wasn't a 'start from scratch' situation but an evolution of what she was already doing with TF.

When it came to Joanne the original LG5 concept was scrapped, started from square one and had this intention to deconstruct who Gaga was as an artist. To plan an era with that in mind, ie an entirely new album concept, the looks, the videos, the overall message, everything to be done in 6-9 months was a tall order and it shows (watch the Million Reasons video again). It did set her up quite nicely for ASIB though, so there's that.

Not the bore worms!

@gagacabana wtf ??? WTF ???? Are you okay? Was that a mistake???? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?

You really thought you were the only controversial person here

But what I mean by that is, much like all of Gaga's albums tbh, The Fame is irreplaceable and to release something like it ever again would just not sit right at all. TF only makes sense within that specific moment in time, you know? We could argue that, to some extent, Mayhem was an attempt at releasing again something like The Fame Monster and/or Born This Way, and these are 100% coherent and cohesive. But if Gaga came up with another disco glam pop sound about the idealized concept of fame after 20 years of being the biggest star alive? Idk (though, I argue that, if there's anyone who could pull off something like this, it's her)

I'd wonder how she'd approach that genre when in the mood to be more hands on.

TFM or Born This Way because nothing she could do would meet those standards and this entire fanbase would be bitching about it for years

Also these are more correct answers than simply saying "joanne/chormatica sucks" (which is only true considering Gaga standards. By the general pop scene they're great, actually)
