I think the difference is who performed it, as wicked the film has different artists to the original Broadway show. I thought Wicked was recorded music from an adapted show, while Michael is just simply a bunch of MJ's songs from his albums put into a compilation like a Greatest Hits, not even re recorded by the actor. So I guess it’s not a 1:1 copy of the released Michael versions.
