She’s teasing her new album coming this September! :woot:

For this one, she was fully inspired by the world’s reception of The Life Of A Showgirl, how heavily criticized it has been since its release and about the récent controversy around her wedding. :ohno:

Taylor Swift’s Martyr, in stores 9/25/2026.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if that actually happened lmao. Girl loves to make herself a victim of literally everything. I'm still shook but not surprised that she complained about her fans trying to know who her songs are about lmao

Her marketing tactics will probably be forgotten in a few years. New generations of pop fans won’t remember the endless cycle of teasers for more teasers, countdowns, surprise announcements and limited editions. They’ll simply remember her as an incredibly ambitious and determined artist.

She’s not reinventing the wheel. Pop icons have been doing this since the ’80s: staying constantly visible and keeping the public talking. The difference is the effort.

Even Gaga mastered that game. Sometimes all she had to do was step outside her New York apartment, but she’d make those ten seconds between her front door and the car feel like a fashion event. Two or three appearances a day, each with a completely different look, became genuine pop culture moments because she actually put creativity into them.

What we’re getting now is different. Endless online announcements, countdowns to another announcement, and temporary exclusive editions just to convince fans to buy the 29th color variant of the same album. It feels lazy, cheap, and ultimately predatory toward the very people who support her the most.

I don’t really connect with her music beyond a couple of songs, but I can absolutely recognize her talent, even if I don’t fully understand the phenomenon surrounding her. She’s a billionaire. She’s arguably the most powerful woman in music today. I even admire the way she stood up to people like Kanye and Scooter Braun and fought for ownership of her work.

But allowing, or even encouraging, a marketing machine that weaponizes her fanbase’s loyalty to maximize sales is where I lose respect. It feels cynical.

At this point, I’m just hoping this era comes to an end. I’d much rather see her put that energy into making art than into finding new ways to sell the same album over and over again. And I think a lot of people are simply exhausted by the constant stream of “news” that ultimately amounts to nothing.

This is so god damn funny, until you realize she'd actually do something like this :cryga:
