seriously, what's his issue. he was so racist that he needed to go through racial sensitivity training Camilla Cabello style https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/jul/17/chelsea-disciplinary-action-enzo-fernandez-racist-chants-argentina

Yeah, he is trash. The way he celebrated in the England game was so obnoxious. Imm glad it’s a meme now to mock him.

Thank goodness the champions weren't a colonial power with the blood of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, the Philippines, Guam, the Mariana Islands, Equatorial Guinea, Western Sahara, Morocco, and countless others on their hands. Oh... wait

Not actually interested in football at all, but it's wild to see Argentina go from last tournament's under dog to this one's villain.

All my life really I've seen my friends, neighbors , pretty much all of Egypt rally behind them to win for Messi's sake, and the minute they're a champion they pull this **** (entitlement, cheating, racism) smh.

And that's honestly why everyone was rooting for Spain, not because of Argentina's politics or history but because - narratively, they've become the villain through how they behaved this whole tournament as a team and people. Anyway congrats Spain 🥳

Everyone was rooting against Argentina, which I was too, but my biggest hate watches were against England. Super glad they didn't make it to the finals, and only won third place against France. The racist bs i was seeing from the English during the MexVEng match was so disgusting.  Also, I'm trans, so I want no part of Terf Island to win anything ever.

to pin racism as a football issue when it's something that's basically their culture

football culture gets ugly, regardless of nationality(not to justify the racism from argentinians, it just isn't an isolated case) I mean, just look at what the English were saying about Jude Bellingham after the defeat from Argentina, I saw some say he's not a "genuine citizen," cuz he's black. Plus, the Domestic violence spikes during games.

Seems like the most racism during this world cup was towards specific players on the French, English, and Spanish teams, yet they are still part of the evil colonizers and we cannot celebrate them over innocent Argentina, very interesting.

It's always someone from the US trying to lecture the rest of the world about colonialism and moral superiority while conveniently ignoring their own backyard. Before worrying about football teams and oversimplifying complex global histories, maybe you should check your own country's active military interventions, foreign military bases (over 750 worldwide), and history of military maneuvers, invasions, and regime changes (from Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, and Korea, to Panama, Grenada, Syria, Somalia, and countless covert operations in Latin America and the Middle East). Plenty of actual, ongoing foreign policy to worry about over there...
