I think I really want a rock album from Gaga

I was never a big fan of rock music, but in the last years, I really start to like listen some rock music. Especially, The Queen & Metallica. 

I think a rock album would be really great to have from her.

She has the voice & the charisma for it 🤷🏽‍♂️

As long as it has distinct, memorable melodies

(& isn't just harsh noise or endless guitar solos/prolonged drumming bullshit)

I'm 50/50. 

I think she'd kill it, she absolutely has the voice and attitude for it. And when she's tapped into it from a dance-pop route she's done well imo. 

But like as a country/folk/americana fan, when she dipped her toe into that for Joanne it felt so superficial and made her look like a tourist. And I worry if she committed fully to a rock album that could happen again

To me it depends, songs like Electric Chapel, Perfect Celebrity I'm 100% here for it.

I feel like no matter how much creative freedom she has, she ultimately wants a legacy and knows doing pure rock music would isolate a part of her core fanbase. Not to mention if there was ever a way to not have a hit song or anything it would be to turn to a genre that hasn’t been successful since the 90s. 
 

I think the most she’ll do is pop-rock because she loves her Queen melodies and Bowie eccentricities.

I generally agree. 
But as an elder emo - the genre hasn't been successful since the mid 00s not the 90s.
