And erased the original saga's ending without any world building. Yeah true i guess i do feel like snoke was a good new villain until he was butchered in the next movie it's sad because the vfx, soundtrack and cinematography was so beautiful
Nite 5,912
Lane's ending in Gilmore Girls. I was never a fan of Zach and his redemption arc just wasn't there for me

I also hated how the built up the lord of light and Melisandre and then it did barely anything in winterfell to help. To be fair it was because the show surpasses Martin’s novels and everything they did after The Battle of The Bastards was basically down to the show runners except for the key plot points he gave them being; Stannis burning his daughter for the Lord of Light, Bran becoming King, Jon being a Targaryen, Hodor’s fate being because of Bran’s time loop through Warging and Dany becoming the Mad Queen. They had to do everything else themselves, I can’t wait for him to finally finish the last 2 books to find out his intended plot points. Although we do know that Melisandre’s misinterpretation of the prophecy was going to be a big plot point. So was Cersei’s downfall since the prophecy was that one of her Brothers would choke her to death. Many assume it was Tyrion but I still think it will be Jaime in the books. Oriane 22,710
Death Note Can't add spoilers on the phone but yeah, THAT thing never should have happened because it was the strong point of the show and everything was boring and clunky after that. JJ Abrams is to star wars what his daughter is to music. 2 of the 3 were great (one of them being in the top 3 of the whole franchise). We don’t need to discuss Rise of Skywalker. Yeah, JJ and Disney worked to undo that because they let a bunch of basement dwelling neckbeards pretend they were a majority when they never were. People forget continently that the reception to The Last Jedi was extremely positive for the first couple of days. Fantastic audience scores on Cinemascore and PostTrack and even the less data driven audience polling places like RT and iMDB. It wasn’t until the grifters got their hooks in that the tide started shifting. What we saw these people attempt with The Odyssey was not new, not fresh, and not unique. They played this exact same game with The Last Jedi for the exact same reasons. The only difference was their campaign against Star Wars worked because that sort of coordinated politically motivated attack on pop culture was not yet a super known trick in the internet age. We’ve mostly learned how to spot it and squash it since, but a few films from that four or so year time period (2016-2019) feel victim to it. RoadToLouis 182
I’m still not sure what to think of the Holly and mister Whatsit plot in Stranger Things. Like I get it, but I’m not sure it works. Maybe its just that the season as a whole is poorly written imo. As far as GoT, I’m not as mad as most people with some of the ideas they went with, but I’ll say that there’s a couple of really unfortunate decisions throughout the final season. Cersei and Jamie’s ending is laughable, for example.

Without giving too much away, it just seems like the creators wanted a certain ending and didn't care how many new elements they had to add or much they had to shoehorn it into a double episode. And that not every character got the same treatment. Btw, shoutout to spin-off The Golden Palace - don't know know why so many fans act like it doesn't exist, these episodes are brilliant! Agree with all this. We watch GG on repeat at our house. Also discovered the Golden Palace eps and they’re cute!
