As much as TF/M will always be my fave, I'd never like her to stick there. She's just not made to stick in one place. Any fan should understand this.

I wouldn’t say they’re on the same levels tbh. The Fame while a great album doesn’t stand up Mayhem production wise, lyrically, vocally or anything. 

It’s not a bad album obviously, but you can tell most of it was made in 2 weeks with the same producer because sonically it’s quite repetitive. Mayhem manages to make every song unique.
 

I’d argue Mayhem feels more like a Gaga album MORE than The Fame does. In hindsight now we know who she is as an artist The Fame is on par with Chromatica in that you can feel the disconnect from her real self.
 

She even admitted in several interviews for Mayhem she used to make music that was restricted by things like a sound or an idea. Harlequin and Mayhem in particular dont feel restricted by those. 

Harlequin while inspired by jazz is also an adult contemporary record with a theatrical twist and pop-rock woven into it. Mayhem isn’t restricted either by its influences and feels like a true “Gaga” album. It feels like if her career had Seasons this would be the end of Season 1 and we’re about to enter Season 2. Because for the first time in forever she’s unpredictable sonically and creatively.

Whats Gagas issue with Paparazzi? It was legit my fav song from TF and the single that turned me from a casual fan to a hardcore fan

This is the problem I have with TikTok when they don’t use album versions of songs it stops it translating to streams.

I remember when Bloody Mary went viral and my friends asked me which Gaga song it was because they’d heard it was one, I told them and played them it and they said the actual song was boring and too slow so they’ll stick to the TikTok version

+ mfs upload these remixes / covers to Spotify with a Pinterest drawing as the art cover and make profit off of these trends instead of Gaga and the artist that made the original illustration they used for the art cover. I hate this.

Well Bloody Mary still peaked at +3M daily, if Paparazzi go there I'd be beyond amazed 

I'd take any boost on her recurrent streams tbh, her hiatus is pretty visible lately

Oh I get that but the longevity and appreciation could become so much more if they didn’t use the remixes on TikTok. 200k videos also while good isn’t that viral because I think Bloody Mary had millions upon millions using the audio before it even started getting good streaming updates.

Also it annoys me how much power TikTok has  I need a switch of power to something we have a better handle on because Gaga’s pure sales are still some of the best amongst her peers.

Or the fact they don’t credit the originals  I remember loads of people thinking Judas when it went viral was called King With No Crown and by some random Artist when the remix was all over Spotify viral playlists
