Thanks for sharing; this is the first I‘ve heard of this interview … really grounded tone.

I‘ll have to give it a proper first spin when I have the time, but having only heard the first question and answer, I appreciate how she illustrates her own personal “mayhem“ at the root of the album … not a general chaos necessarily, but the distinct deprivation from the community / communal culture that generated this signature sonic aesthetic, birthed from the proverbial (and literal) dancefloor she fought for … and, more broadly, an effectual disfigurement / reconfiguration of The origin Fame … recording this return to gotham-inspired bricolage fantasy from the comparative isolation of a Malibu retrofitted office studio

Obviously, just a one-off point of conceptual semantic association on the first blink … so, nothing objectively definitive, and not sure if it made any sense, but just a salt grain musing on the generative vision or creative source
