Seeing these laid out, she has some hokey lead lyrics :laughga:  It's Bad Romance then Just Dance. BR has particular style and also cleverness and a unique pov. It reads chic. Plus hook after hook. Just Dance is similar just to a lesser degree of specific style.

Then BTW, then PI, then the remainders are all shades of the same kinda hokey lyricism imo. Fun songs, though <3

Bad Romance then Applause, then Born This Way, then Disease then Just Dance, Perfect Illusion and finally the awful Stupid Love

Just Dance getting zero votes in a competition of lyrics when Stupid Love barely has a chorus :enigma:

I would love to vote for Born This Way but the word "chola" was a literal wtf moment, and not in a good way  :wtfga:

While appreciating the Bad Romance lyricism (slay naughty Gaga), I must say Born This Way not only conveys an important message, but does so while combining Gagas own personal experiences with a direct approach of talking to the listener, making the lyrics sound genuine and uplifting. Not to mention the importance these words still hold in today's backwards world. Only the 'orient' part really didn't age all too well, but that's just part of societal changes.

Regarding lyrics of Applause... Maybe its because I am not a native English speaker but... Um... They sound terribly cheesy and awkward to me :wtfga: Like she tried to be extremely artsy, eloquent and smug, but ended up sounding like a toddler spewing random words they think are 'high class' :traumatica:

Gaga is the king of making music&lyrics sound like timeless runway fashion, no one else has done it so well. Bad Romance.

Just Dance has way too little votes tho! The way she’s put „Roses” „thorns” and „hosed” in a verse without making it rhyme in a typical way, yet sounding very smooth and cohesive. v pleasing to my ears

...has anybody seen my disco stick?
