He is basically trying to prove his power by forcing a by-election to be re-elected to show his constituents still have faith in him.

This comes after her was was criticised for taking a £5m donation from a crypto billionaire, causing his leadership to come into question and his party’s legitimacy.

Funniest part is.

All the major parties except the Greens so far have said they won't contest the election, the Greens haven't said anything yet.

Which guarantees he gets back in basically and then likely means a 2nd by-election when the standards committee rules against him

So far his only confirmed opponent is Count Binface, a joke candidate who arose to expose the ridiculousness of the UK political system.

we have the opportunity to do the funniest thing :poot:

There will be plenty of candidates, but much like the 2008 by-election that David Davis caused (in the exact same way as Farage) it'll be all the nutjob anarchist, anti-abortion and neo-fascist parties. It's likely just the main parties that won't stand.

Nah. That would legitimise Farage's stunt.

He wants the establishment to fight him.

By ignoring him, his stunt fails. He ends up back in Parliament and the investigation into his affairs continues where it left off.

Yeah I think from what I’ve seen Calcton very much is still going to vote for him in a big majority. Ever interview I saw said he was misunderstood and is a man of the people. Despite the fact we know he is not.

Yeah it's quite possibly the most right-wing area in Britain. Farage himself could vanish tomorrow and they'd still vote for a Reform candidate.
