The average vinyl is $50 anyways. 50 x 14 is $700....add in the special edition stuff, the packaging, and the limited nature of it...I actually get why it would be this much. Despite what we think of Jay-Z, he is one of the most successful rap artists of all time and his fans are very very loyal to him, so $1500 for his entire discography pressed onto vinyl in a whole set IS pricey, but it's not unheard of. Imagine that is is 2039 and Gaga decided to release a massive crate like this with everything from The Fame->The Fame Monster->Born This Way->ARTPOP->Joanne->Chromatica->MAYHEM....plus LG8->LG9->LG10->LG11->LG12->LG13->LG14. Are we really pretending there aren't a swath of fans who aren't going to pay $1500 (or more) for that? Fans paid more for average seats at the Mayhem Ball for 2.5hrs of fun.
