I live in NYC.

Madison Square Garden is quite LITERALLY ON TOP OF one of the busiest transit hubs in the United States.

600,000+ people go through there per day.

People with food trucks literally make there goddam livelihood on those corners.

It's not gonna end anyones life.

It's just gonna be really damn inconvenient for millions of people over the course of 3 days.  It might seem small, but if add 15 - 30 minutes to millions of people’s train time that actually has an impact. Not to mention the way the MTA (transit authority) lets us know there are schedule and track changes is literally posting printed paper all over the stations. For a lot of locals, we aren’t checking the map and schedule all the time! I know when the train usually comes (they're erratic, lol), what days I go where. Sometimes a show up to a station only to find out the train isn’t gonna stop there. Ok some of that’s on me, I could pay more attention.

And the locals who sell food there are gonna take a financial hit.

July 4th? Are you KIDDING ME? That place is gonna be packed with people going in and out of NYC for the holiday.

This is truly some bullsh*t.

 

Trump closed that area down for one night for the Knicks game and it was a sh*t show. Thousands of people usually show up outside of Madison Square Garden to watch the game on the big screen. It's so cool to watch! and free! And this was the biggest game to watch in 53 years! And he closed that shi* down for his little gag.

I think he thought he was gonna get in with NYC for showing some sort of pride. Instead, he's galvanized millions of people against him. A total loser. Fu*k him so much.

 

I cannot with these billionaires jabbing their fingers in millions of peoples lives just to get their rocks off.

As a Swiftie who was actually rooting for them, don't understand why there is so much hoohaa around this.

Celebrities get married on the DL or with limited publicity all the time but this seems to be hungry for publicity and stretching it out over time... Think they're trying to make it out to be like how the UK cover Royal Family weddings but it just doesn't work.

You can get married quietly or just get it done but all this MSG stuff, the invite list speculations, how many dresses, the event jet usage etc. it's all not great optics tbh. A lot of these stories would be coming from her camp directly as well which has started to be make the whole thing a bit distasteful..

Not to sound dark but this is giving bad karma and "ends in divorce" energy for me
