Phases like that happened. It is very common and normal, mainly because you feel burn out with the artist or the genre. Other reason could be because the artist recent offerings are not really your thing or lackluster.

I love all my faves, but there are periods of time where I just listened to other stuffs. There are also times where I don't listen to any music at all. It can lasted days or even months.

Personally I don't think too much of it, because i know I am not moving on, I just needed a break.

I do this with every artist lol. rn it's gaga, I was listening so much before and after mayhem that I'm completely burned out listening to her voice at the moment, probably for a few months.

I’m very excited to listen to Confessions II and I do like some of her music, even the “bad” albums I go back to them from time to time but I just get tired of her voice after a while. 

Not trying to compare them or start a fan thing but this is what I love about Gaga, you realize how powerful her vocals are and the way she uses her voice in the same album to keep it interesting.

Kylie has such an iconic discography and I am glad she has fans outside of here in Aus because she is still so underrated everywhere else. My fav albums from her are definitely Fever and Light Years and I really love the majority of her singles and have found myself listening to her more recently and consistently than before. Also controversial opinion but I think she has a stronger and more consistent discography than miss Madge (but then again the only albums I really love from her are Confessions, Ray Of Light and some of Music). I feel like Kylies influence on Gaga is also not talked about enough and I think she inspired Gaga more than Madonna ever did.

Really? I'm the exact opposite where POP is my fave album of hers  the vocals, production, lyricism are such a vibe, wheras I couldn't get into her first few albums until Froot.

Honestly totally agreed, I feel like Kylies strongest albums were when Madonnas were the weakest and she really was able to evolve with the time without having to chase trends. Even her collabs were always so so good (minus that horrendous Stop me from falling remix with whoever that was). It's kind of a shame they didn't know what to do with her in the USA, but at the same time I'm glad she got to keep her autonomy and do unapologetically Kylie records.

See she kinda grabbed my attention during the family jewels bc she remind me of Gaga, and then complete reshaped the way I view music through Electra heart. Her new album felt like a weak attempt at recapturing that Electra heart vibe without all the conceptual elements ( which is what I think made it so great anyways) 

 

Melanie is in a similar boat for me. crybaby is probably one of my top debut albums of all time. She won me back over with portals, but this hades album is a wreck. I’m hopeful for the next record but I’m not sure.
