ARTPOP (always found this dreamy and enigmatic) Sexxx Dreams (low key excellent production and love the layered vocals and the concept) Aura (only if demo version) Dope (genuinely one of her most vulnerable ballads - and a rare moment where I think she as a singer positions herself as the damaged villain rather than a victim - perfect story telling in the album context coming after MJH) Applause (a solid bop) Swine (haven't returned to this much lately, but I always liked it, epic beat drop) Do What U Want (I prefer the Xtina version, which doesn't corrupt the original intention of the lyrics - can't listen to the original without squirming a bit) Gypsy (a great song, if perhaps trying to recreate TEOG in a different form, Fashion! (just a glorious lounge music style song) Mary Jane Holland (this song always gives me vivid memories of her public persona in circa 2012) MANiCURE (this song is almost amazing, should be higher, but the second half runs out of steam and doesn't know where to go, completely undoing the heavy lifting of the first half - such a shame) Donatella (decent but some of these lyrics are so bad you can't enjoy them other than in a camp joke song way) G.U.Y. GUY All those above songs I love, and rest I don't care for. DWUW is a great song, but I am choosing to ignore it due to THAT person. Dope and Gypsy I am not a fan of (not saying those are bad songs), I feel like those songs kills the vibe of the album. ARTPOP, the song, is still my all time fav haha. Wish we got more of that sound. Generally, I think it could be a fun idea if she explored more of the synthpop sound, kinda what she did with the Die With a Smile edit on MAYHEM Requiem.
