Pigatha 1,188
I feel bad for her and am concerned, however i'm not going to speculate if she has anorexia or an eating disorder, she's clearly going through something, but nobody knows what that is. I'm just sending her good vibes and hoping she gets better.
Decodekid 30,343
She does not look healthy. And calling that out isn’t judgment or body shaming, it’s exactly what it is. I haven’t paid much attention to what the media says or how people are engaging with this topic though, but if you’re seeing what’s obvious it’ll raise concerns. thermonuclear gas blaster
onTheBrink 793
If she's got an eating disorder, she's not responsible for how little children are going to be affected by their perception of her. Her faculty for perceiving her damn self correctly is impaired by the ED lmao. That's why it's not a public discourse issue or whatever. Leave the woman alone and stop talking about it. Imagine the Kafkaesque nightmare knowing the world's eyes are on you and the single thing you struggle with the most. There's an ugly side to mental illness, such as body checking or 'liking' when people call you skeletal. It's not all innocence and victimhood. And all I see in ED debates whether it's Ariana or Eugenia is people struggling to reconcile those two things. And all I see in ED debates whether it's Ariana or Eugenia is people struggling to reconcile those two things. It is her responsibility when she’s purposefully body checking and flaunting her emaciated body in front of millions of people, especially impressionable young girls. According to a Wicked costume designer, Ariana herself requested that she wanted her costumes to reveal her chest area and shoulders as much as possible. Ariana knows what she’s doing. She wants people to be concerned, that’s how it validates her ED. Like you said, being mentally ill doesn’t automatically make you a victim or a good person. Anyway, we can only wish she recovers. 1

Her struggle shows in her physical body, unlike most of us which our struggles are hidden. Shes allowed to struggle in public without society attacking her. I mean, yes and no. I get where you're coming from, but I 100% believe she's been body checking herself in public videos, specially in the past. She likes to appear next to bigger things, posing herself as a tiny and little girl. It's out there, just google it. From what I've learnt, she's mostly aware and likely pursuing this situation. I'm sorry but that's the way most disorders work. I love her and I don't mean this in a bad way, but I really think she should not be touring and her team will probably regret it in near future. I hope she finds peace within herself. She deserves it

Exactly what I meant. We as a society tend to think people with eating disorders don't actually know what's happening, but ironically enough, they do. They even get together in forums to talk about how thinner they get day by day, cheering up themselves when strangers tell them how "disgusting" they look because of their appearance. Sociologically, it doesn't get much distant from a tribe. A modern tribe, but a tribe anyways

Eugenia Cooney also claims to be ‘healthy.’ Ariana is a 33 year old woman, and she’s much skinnier than when she was 15. That’s not normal. these are photos from her own instagram. It’s not normal to have your sternum completely visible and sticking out like this. https://www.instagram.com/p/DZcx6mJlMYf/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DZZPStZlBpp/

27monster27 15,709
One thing I'll say that I'm surprised more people on here haven't said: She can get better while touring. Taylor Swift did it during the 1989 tour for example. Most notably, however, is our fave Lady Gaga. Let's not forget that she had a severe eating disorder during the Monsterball 1.0 (and from a bit before then) where she got hospitalized six times in 2009, and then came out fine by 2011. Ariana Grande can get better. People acting like she can't doesn't help the problem. he/him/his

I only said the truth. She quite literally said so herself in this video: It is, in my opinion, an extreme exaggeration to even draw comparisons to Eugenia. Has Ariana lost some weight in recent years? Absolutely. But She's nowhere near Eugenia. And that is no slight to Eugenia either. Also comparing someone's adult body to the one they had when they were a child is wild. She's nearly 20 years older. Human bodies are different and change with time. Even when I was heavier I could still see my chest bones. It boils down to genetics. I cannot comment on what Ariana is or isn't doing on her own time, especially in regards to her health, because, just like you, I don't know her. Nor is it any of my business. But the majority of the comments are out of concern for both her and young impressionable kids thinking that looks healthy. I think it's weird people would rather police others' bodies and judge them for it rather than teaching kids to just not speak about others' bodies. If y'all gave a damn about the kids you wouldn't highlight "good examples" or "bad examples". 25 minutes ago, Stylor said: It is her responsibility when she’s purposefully body checking and flaunting her emaciated body in front of millions of people, especially impressionable young girls. Being mentally ill very much does make you the victim, what are you smoking? Are we calling people who commit suicide suicide committers instead of victims now too?
