How bout because I shared an observation on her body and how it’s changed from my pov as a long term fan, and not the entire breadth of my every single thought and feeling, about Ariana grande.
 

i literally am in recovery for anorexia. I have all the empathy in the world for people who struggle. I don’t need to advertise my every damn thought for you people. She at the end of the day is a god damn celebrity who’s voice and image is the product. I can comment on her voice if she sounds off, but I can’t comment on how she looks. Got it.

I don’t think she is. I was watching some videos from her tour compared to her last one, and she has very low energy, hardly no choreo and lots of sitting moments. Her voice sounds weaker too.  I hope she can get the help she needs.

You're trying to argue against those of pointing out that these kinds of behaviours are toxic.

LMAO I’m screaming.. Lol I do NOT claim to “own” Ariana grande, for anybody interested in hearing my thoughts on that btw. The part about me saying I’m a long term fan is simply to give context that I have followed her for years which is why , to me, her skeletal appearance today is jarring and noticeably different. and it indicates something is not right.
 

I hope she gets help! I don’t wish to get into a moral debate with you or any other absolute stranger on a lady Gaga forum about it further so I won’t be engaging with you any more as you continue to try and paint me as a horrible person for pointing out an objective truth. Sorry I didn’t sugar coat it for yall or make it politically correct, and that it upsets you. again- I hope she is okay, and if she’s not that she gets help. Thanks

These are not the same. If people are trying to compare its best to do it In the same entertainment field(just because they really do not operate the same) He's an actor. Chadwick Bosemen tried to keep it secret. He didn't want his health to influence his pubic image. This is similar to Catherine O'Hara who also lost weight towards the end of her life due to cancer.

Not saying anyone who is sick should hide, as all body types, even when we are healing or fighting something are beautiful. However intentional harm to the body and destruction is not. 

Amy Winehouse, and Karen Carpenter are more in line comparisons. They both are musicians, and I know Amy winehouse was actively touring, and both were recording still and visibly kept losing weight as their careers progressed.

I also think people need to look at the KPOP industry and the cases of some musicians getting increasingly thin and thinner over time. We don't know what is going on. However, I  do think the conversation regarding healthy and unhealthy body weights needs to happen, just with a lot more tact, but also a lot more honesty, and also perhaps with not mentioning specific people especially if they weren't confirmed to have eating disorders. Popstars are massive influences to our culture all around the world and we are on the wave of ozempic (which is not bad, but the affects on the publics perception with being skinnier is bad in some degrees) and an administration that is actively making it hard to eat...

And I hate to say it, the sympathy and empathy needs to extend both ways. Eating disorders are very real, and exist on a spectrum(small or large). We can extend sympathy and empathy to Grande as WELL as the people who are being triggered by this. Because some of the volatile reactions may just be emotions not well expressed. Fear and concern can unfortunately do that. And we don;'t know the affects emotionally or mentally this can have on people, or people who have struggled and literally saying this is triggering.

But yea obviously putting on the internet, a place of almost permanence, just pure criticism of Ariana Grande is not gonna help anyone  AND definitely not her.  

Personally while I am enjoying the tour, I cannot help but feel heavy emotions towards her, because despite not knowing what's going on. it is hard to look at KNOWING how she has looked throughout time. However, I still think she looks incredibly gorgeous, and her vocals have improved in some areas ( which while Im saying is not indicative of someone being healthy. Apparently Karen Carpenters voice was also amazing while she struggled with Anorexia)

It is weird for people to say they know for sure she is very ill when truly only she and medical professionals treating her should know whether she is or not. But it's also weird to say you know FOR SURE that she is "okay" when there is a definite chance that she is not. I'm not saying I know for sure she does, but many people who are as thin as she is have serious eating disorders and/or other issues. Saying you know for sure she is okay normalizes this to impressionable people who look at her and agree "yeah she's for sure okay." The truth is, you don't know if she is, and neither do I.

Nobody knows anyone, but we can make judgments based on what comes out of your mouth. Im not judging you as a human being, im just saying a statement like that doesnt show concern. Telling a person whos suffering with eating disorder that they look skeletal af is not a person whos concerned, or atleast their concern is secondary.

I think the objective is to raise awareness in hope of her / her team realizing there is a great concern that she should address

So because shes just a celebrity whos selling a product, you can say shes skeletal af? you feel entitled to calling her that because you see her as a celebrity product. Proves my point I made!

She is still a pretty girl... So it has nothing to do with bodyshaming. But yeah she is extremely thin and I highly doubt that it is healthy.
