Zombiecat 17,962
Based on instrumental only, which would you choose as best instrumental on each album?

NUTELLA 25,906
Oh wait, sorry, thought we were picking best instrumental from each But album with best instrumentals, altogether? Either BTW or MAYHEM
AVeryGagaHolyDick 31,667
To @Blackout19, before you vote for Chromatica:
ARTPOPe 10,169
It's a tie between Born This Way and Mayhem for me. If doing fav instrumental from each album: Paparazzi Dance In The Dark Americano ARTPOP/Sex Dreams Sinner's Prayer Sine From Above Perfect Celebrity/Zombieboy existing in the context of all in which I live and what came before me
AVeryGagaHolyDick 31,667
The Fame: — Paparazzi, maybe? (it’s so unique, anyone would recognize the song in less than a second) The Fame Monster: — Bad Romance? Born This Way: — Marry The Night (or Judas?) ARTPOP: — *that* song Joanne: — A-YO (I have to mention Hey Girl, though, the instrumental is divine) Chromatica: — Replay, obviously MAYHEM: — Abracadabra, probably? Could be Disease though Overall: I’d say The Fame Monster has the best, but I voted for Born This Way cause Monster only has 8 tracks
Controversiaga 15,848
The fame: I like it rough or lovegame TFM: bad romance BTW: government hooker ARTPOP: aura joanne: girl please…her most generic unimpressive album production wise chromatica: 911 mayhem: disease and abracadabra born this way has the best production as it’s the most creative and impressive. The rest are rather tame/safe and then ARTPOP is messy sometimes Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”
TheFrenchGuy 5,557
Mayhem by far. It's just so clean and rich. BTW is great but it's also overproduced at times.
spookytanooki 1,848
Has anybody actually listened to the Hair instrumental? Its better than the version with vocals Definitely not Chappell Roan
Nagini 4,135
The Fame: Paparazzi The Fame Monster: Telephone Born This Way: Electric Chapel or Government Hooker (there are more which I wish to include - Schiesse, TEOG. I think it has some of her best production alongside some of her most overdone/overproduced tracks). ARTPOP: Applause (Sexxx Dreams would've been a really strong contender here if it wasn't so overproduced) Joanne: Joanne Piano Version. No comment given production is a miss with the album. Chromatica: Rain On Me or Sine From Above. No comment given production is a miss with the album. Mayhem: Abracadabra. Her BEST written and produced album. So many great choices here (the runner-ups would beat Telephone, Paparazzi, EC/GH, etc.) but Abra takes the cake easily.

I hope she never works with Ronson or Bloodpop again. It's sad that the best production on Joanne is literally her playing the piano with Joanne (Piano Version).

Predominantly analog production, very strong and interesting instrumental parts on a fair number of songs: production layers and stems on PI are genuinely great (synth strings, bells, and funk guitars come to mind) outro on DIC is good, great and interesting guitar work on JW, great guitar tone and brass on JAD, great sax on CTM, great funky/noodley guitar lead on AYO…like there’s genuinely very good production work across the entire album, but I feel like some of y’all turn your ears off cause it’s not “c*nty” electropop lol We have forgotten our public MANNERS

I mean, the electronic comment was a facetious eyeroll at fans who only seem to like it when she does electropop lol. But that being said: I don’t think it’s the production as much as it is the engineering, which makes the arrangements (which I think are very good) sound flat. The live versions of a lot of the tracks sound significantly better. We have forgotten our public MANNERS
