I like its electronic instrumental and the way she rocks that synth A LOT, but it doesn’t work that well with the rest of the band and chosen effects. There’s something off. My biggest gripe is honestly abandoning the funky component, especially given that it’s clearly referencing Closer, which has that sexy bass groove at the core of it. I don’t think the melody works as well over the REQUIEM arrangement without something that would reflect the glammy groove of the original.
