Controversiaga 15,788 Posted June 14 Share Posted June 14 Tyra Banks filed a defamation lawsuit against Netflix on Saturday, accusing the streaming giant of manipulating her into participating in a bombshell documentary about her former reality show “America’s Next Top Model.” Banks participated in the three-part documentary, which drew significant attention for examining the exploitative nature of early reality television. She now alleges that her confessionals were “stripped of context and reassembled to support a false and defamatory narrative unrelated to what she actually expressed.” Banks says she agreed to participate because she believed viewers deserved “candid conversation about the show’s legacy — its successes and its shortcomings.” The suit notes that Netflix aired only 16 minutes of a 3 1/2-hour interview in which she placed no restrictions on the topics she could be asked about. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/tyra-banks-files-defamation-suit-netflix-rcna349934 truthfully- I don’t think Tyra is the only person to blame for the things that went wrong on ANTM… thoughts??? Pigatha 1,292 Posted June 15 Share Posted June 15 (edited) I mean she's not the only one to blame for that show and everything that went down, probably some "manipulation" or at least withholding what everyone else was saying about her or whatever, I definitely don't like Netflix's documentries, they are very sensationalist. However she's delusional and thought the show would have casted her in a good light, but she really didn't help herself and came across as self important and narcissistic, I mean who tf wears a damn trenchcoat the whole time indoors for an interview, like she should have known how this was going to go down lol. Regardless a lawsuit doesn't help her image at all, for once in her life she should take the high road and apologize, but a narcissist cannot do that.
