According to insiders, the perfectionist Queen of Pop is pushing for full creative control of her set and asking for elaborate custom staging, nonstop rehearsals, top-level security and a production budget described as "astronomical."

Yeah.  I feel like she will just pack in it if she can't go all out in performances anymore.

Given how horrible all opening ceremonies where, seems like the budget for those was $3. They should listen to Madonna and cave in to whatever she asks

Not particularly pop music. They just  want to watch the match and then break everything. It’s not like American fans. European football fans are insane. A lot of aggression and alcohol!

Sports fans tune into watch sport. 

A halftime show just extends the reset time needed at half time and prolongs it keeping the fans who want to watch the game stuck waiting for longer. 

And its all done to chase an audience who wont watch the game. 

We're seeing similar issues in rugby union where TV broadcasters are trying to force the game to change its lawbook to make it a faster game that is a more exciting tv product for non-fans
