People are too quick to hate on him. His content is often genuinely wholesome and he does have a brand dedicated to charity. There's terrible influences online, especially for children, but I don't think he's one of them.

He's also been regularly accused (and sued) for dangerous/negligent treatment of workers & show participants alongisde numerous lawsuits alleging bullying & sexual harassment. Jake Weddle alleges mental & physical torture.
Then there's also all the **** that came to light with Ava Kris Tyson messaging minors, him hiring a registered sex offender and featuring them in videos targeted at children & Mr Beast personally owned "lolicon" art and displaed it in his home alongside interacting with lolicon artists online. He also fired an employee for lashing out at him & other staff for making sex jokes about his toddler.
He has also been credibly accused of faking his charity work including faking building a hospital for content.

And thats just a short list.

Awakened M

What is it that we are doing (or not) that grants people like him and Elon Musk that kind of following, power, wealth, etc.?

-inquiry of Manifestations and Manipulations-

I'm not getting any sleep tonight because I woke up to a beautiful life. I'm awake.

I honestly didn't know much of him, I was just glad there was a seemingly normal and kind successful person that my niece and nephew looked up to

so that bubble got popped :Cautious:

He's got a shifty face, I never trusted him :icant:

Also, he apparently had some kind of issue with Jacksepticeye who is genuinely one of the more wholesome YouTubers along with Markiplier and that whole crew. I'm suspicious of anyone who could have an issue with them.

I had to look up both and they have 30m subs on youtube geez, I'm really not checked in. I mostly knew Mr Beast from family and he apparently has 500m now so I can't act surprised :Cautious:

Beast Games was kind of a good show but other than that I don’t think I’ve seen any of his YouTube videos. Him and his friends don’t seem like bad people though

Before their huge productions they used to do more Impractical Jokers style content among themselves. And it kind of highlighted the more boy-ish behavior they had where some of what they did was inconsiderate to people in public but in an unintentional and ignorant way. What really put me off from him was the weird transition to the big productions because he was giving away a ton of money that was unproportionate to his views and I don't believe he had sponsors. It felt very money laundering or like fraudulent and I did not trust it. In reality now I feel like he's a cog in the red pill pipeline where he was approached to curate the brand during that transition and all of his Mr Beast branded side hustles either actually generate income or do act as a money laundering scheme.

Markiplier used to give me huge bully/"it's not that deep bro" vibes about 10 years ago from clips I saw of him but everyone says this and it's kind of confusing.

I'd argue he's one of the few that stayed humble despite the fame. All the charity (not performative, btw) aside, the thing that made that click was when he reacted to a fan video where a bunch of fans made signs for him set to that song from that one game about the moon...I don't remember the game but the song is "Everything's Alright" (I can play it on piano xoxo) and he BAWLED.

In an interview years later he revealed that he was crying 'cause he realized he got way too big and he'd never have that personal connection to his viewers like he had when he only had a few hundred/thousand subs.

He's a good dude :diane:

I also listen to his and his two college friends' podcast, Distractable, and it's easy to tell how genuinely kind they are. They're just normal people with a platform.
