Like others said: if/when she releases her own original songs, I think her jazz songs will be more popular than her covers, but I don't think they'll ever be as popular as her pop. People who she attracts are largely closed-minded about jazz and don't like expanding their mindset enough to appreciate the genre. I hope that changes bc a jazzy renaissance is inevitable and the more we embrace it, the more cool stuff we can get when she decides to return to it.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

Probably not nearly as popular as her other works. Her jazz projects are relatively popular, however. Both LFS & C2C saw commercial success, C2C even debuted at #1 if I recall correctly!

I know I'm in the minority but I for one would love to see her release more jazz in the future!

Her more original jazz stuff is more praised in this fanbase so maybe original jazz songs?

I'd personally love to see Paradise see the light of day

Anything goes!

I feel like “Folie a Deux” was a reworked version of “Paradise,” given the opening line is identical to “Joanne,” which was written around the same time as “Paradise.” Plus, paradise is referenced in the verse. Maybe?

If she did her own original jazz songs, I could see them being quite popular! An original jazz solo album would probably sit better with many fans than an album of covers with Tony Bennett.

Harlequin is by far her most appreciated jazz album in the fanbase, since it’s just her! Even if C2C is the album that debuted at #1 and opened the eyes of the public to her talent.

Many people who dislike the Americana directions Joanne and ASIB leaned into may be less put off by original jazz-pop songs.

IMHO not by doing Great American Songbook in its original sounds, no.

Pure jazz like that are very segmented genre. And mostly sounds like old people music. If she wanna get big from this genre, she need to do modernized jazz, such as soul jazz like what Amy Winehouse did, or acid jazz such as Jamiroquai sounds. Or electronic jazz, since she is already comfortable in electronic pop space anyway, why not venture by add jazz element to it? Something like Badbadnotgood, sungazer, anomalie, st. Germain, or Jazzanova

The jazz albums were always going to be niche compared to the pop albums. Jazz is a smaller niche. In the intended audience of jazz fansc JazzGa is already very popular. So you’re basically asking if jazz itself will one day become more popular, and I doubt it. She’s already big in that genre and that genre isn’t as big as pop.

Perhaps if she does an original body of work instead of standards woth some modernised elements, it could be interesting. Kind of like what Madonna did on Erotica and Bedtime stories with elements of jazz sprinkled through the albums and if she kinda lets herself go insane like she did on harlequin, cause that was truly a masterclass in vocal gymnastics in the best way.

Lol, you don't automatically start liking jazz because you get old. Older people like jazz because jazz is old.

Maybe some people's tastes will evolve with time, but she'll never get as popular as she is with pop.

I never really got into jazz music, even for C2C and L4S, although I like every other genre Gaga has done. But Harlequin changed that somehow. It's my most played album of hers. The live performance made it even better. I wish she would have done a theatre tour with that messy basement setting. This all came together so well!

I would definitely by here for an album full of original jazz songs
