ThisGuyTony 34,641
A lot of fans don’t like JazzGa (albums with Tony, Harlequin, tribute, Jazz and Piano Vegas shows) but do you think JazzGa will be popular when our fanbase gets older? Like 50+? Or 60+? I think only if she releases jazz versions of her biggest hits tbh. Edited June 12 by artdoll

codymonster 8,898
I think the best thing about stanning Gaga is that she LOVES music and being creative. The downside (for some fans, not me) is that means when she’s true to herself, she always finds new and creative ways to express herself, and that’s not always pop. This, however, means that she is creating a persona as someone who is a chameleon and fits into any genre or style, allowing her to try different things and it not feel forced or weird. I feel like as she ages, she will lean into the classical, jazz style music and I think she’ll transcend to a legend; Like someone who maybe isn’t always top of the charts, but someone who is universally respected as an artist. She’s solidifying herself as an all around, master of entertainment, not just a pop star. So yes, I do. Edited June 12 by codymonster

It'd be more realistic that a younger generation has jazz become popular again and the 80 year old gaga fans will be like "THIS IS REAL MUSIC" playing GH and HML whilst breaking our backs doing the ROM routine as the psych ward staff try and usher us back into bed 2

Chesescake 4,143
If the music is good sure, otherwise I'll just go check out her interview to see who inspired her then go listen to them.

AVeryGagaHolyDick 31,644
From my perspective, I think it will become a bit more popular when she decides to make her own music. As far as I remember, her only original jazz song is Folie À Deux, but it’s a song that’s just lost in the middle of covers. I’m not saying a jazz album entirely made of original songs would suddenly break records or have half as many fans as her dance tracks, but I think it would recieve more consideration. I genuinely think Folie À Deux is one of her best songs ever, and I truly enjoy the rest of Harlequin, but she’s done enough jazz covers. We still haven’t witnessed her own artistry with jazz music, only her performances. I might be completely wrong, but I have the feeling that she’s truly scared to do her own thing, like she’s not sure she’s fully legitimate. But Gosh, Even the silly Lash Song is a serve and a half.

Alxjcgn 2,175
I don't readily listen to her jazz records but I have seen her sing jazz live a couple times and it is just mind-blowing and a whole new way of her owning a stage. I like to think she is popular as a live jazz singer, even if the records themselves don't get listened to as much as her other stuff
