princedeeblebleble 3,433
What kinda ruined her music for me was the feature fever she's had ever since Hard Candy, like she always chose the absolute worse to collab with she had no business doing that many songs with Nicky, absolutely no reason to feature Mike Tyson and all those really meh features that really weighted down on Madame X and now on C2, why, why, WHY did she have to fearure whoever is on read my lips there's so many incredible preformers out there yet she always choses the most mediocre hot at the moment artists when theres so many more amazing ones out there. Like the Sabrina and Anette features are the only ones I genuinely liked. Why not feature Arca? Or idk if she wanted a latino flair she could do like Pablo if she wants to be motha of the gays so much.. hell even bad Bunny would have been better.
FameMonster01 7,208
Some of the people in the early pages of this thread are SO BRAVE. So SO brave. Calling her a fad, a b*tch? She set the standard THREE TIMES in her career. Once in the 1980s, second time in 1990s, and then for a third time in 00's. We are talking about huge music industry defining albums. That's continued influence and impact over THREE decades at the very least. Describing her as some 80s fad like Cyndi Lauper (love cyndi tho) is merely insulting. Y'all clearly dont realize how HUGE she was. Every decade since the 1980s has Madonna imprints all over them in many ways. Yes, the music got weaker in 10s, but that's why have amazing theatrical pop productions of MDNA and Rebel Heart tours, at THAT age. She has ALWAYS set the standard for performance, music and activism. I just think that some of yall sound so so entitled and ignorant. Hell even now in 202****ing6 she set a new standard for a video release and cultural promo. Not to mention doing a brave tour like Madame X, when she could have easily done stadiums? a true ICON! People can say what they want, but without Madonna there could be no Gaga, Britney, Katy Perry, and now in more modern terms Sabrina or Tate in the way they are today.

Sneaky Oliver 22,944
I think her experimental side is not appreciated enough, ofc her most popular releases are the classic pop songs but the GP has no idea about how experimental some of her records are Even Ray of Light which’s been praised within the music community, it’s usually for her vocals and her maturity when it comes to lyrics like Frozen and Nothing Really Matters but what about Sky Fits Heaven? Skin? What about the whole Music album?
