JolP24601 86 Posted June 7 Share Posted June 7 I'm a big fan of their first two albums, but didn't even know they had a new album coming out until I was scrolling IG. Listened to it on Friday night and again this morning, and I really like it! Some elements feel nostalgic to their earlier music, and yet, it still feels fresh and cool! Amy still sounds amazing and I love how loud the instrumentals are! Also, I like that this is a response to the current political situations in the USA/the bands reaction to the election. However, the main lead single, Who Will You Follow?, does have a slight vibe of this in it. Rapture has an experimental electronic breakdown in it. Lol the actual album cover is so hideous that I needed to look up one of her recent photoshoots on google, edit a pic & use it as replacement art lol. I do that with so many albums tbh. That’s just the last 23 seconds of Rapture, so it is easier to listen to on a loop over & over People frequently throw around the word “neurodivergent” on here, but do they chop up/stitch together/omit sections of songs they like, in order to listen to them more obsessively (choruses, outros, etc)?
