Massive Monster 5,237 Posted June 8 Share Posted June 8 (edited) The thing about Chromatica is that it's an album which had a roll out during such a singular time: COVID. Everyone experienced that time differently, for me it was loneliness but resilience, the album has such a motivating impact. The culmination for me was seeing Gaga at the Chromatica Ball in London to celebrate that battle, I was so lucky, and I knew from that point that she would carry on to sell out stadiums and arenas because she was a beast on stage in a beautifully crafted show, what a comeback that was. Today I also appreciate the softness and simplicity of the house music production (far less intricate and complex than Mayhem). There's a summer quality to it. So every time I play that album in the car, I am reminded of this journey, it's a driving force. Bloody Matt 5,401 Posted June 8 Share Posted June 8 I sure hope 911, Replay and Babylon finally get the love they deserve, but it's hard to predict how culture is going to evolve in the next few years/decades. Although most fans already appreciated and considered BTW one of (if not THE) best Gaga album, before Bloody Mary exploded no one expected BTW to experience the renaissance it had.
