Have you ever met Gaga?

I’ve just realised I didn’t put my story in the OP so here it is;

I briefly met her in 2010 during The Monster Ball Tour in Newcastle, during the day before the show she was getting coffee in town and I ran to go meet her. But I had nothing with me for her to sign (I really wanted a signature atp).
 

So the only thing of hers I brought to university with me was an (illegally) burned copy of The Fame on a CD-Rom, I apologised to her and said it was the only thing I had and it’s not the actual album. She laughed and said she loved that I just had to have her music in my life no matter what and signed the CD itself.

I still have it now and it’s technically my most “rare” Gaga memorabilia because who else has this specific ripped CD signed by her. I’d kill to meet her again and get her to sign it again now I’m 2026 like 16 years later.

Definitely working with her on set! It was around the time when HL was launched at Sephora, her excitement and drive was contagious in the room. I’ll never get over how tiny she is yet holds a very striking presence.

One of my old managers used to be an event manager at the sports arena in DC (was the Verizon Center at the time he worked there) and he said he met her and her mom during the Monster Ball... and he said the same thing more or less haha. He was like "I couldn't believe how tiny she was up close, but you don't even think about it until after meeting her"

Fun fact: He also said "Her mom is a huge bitch" and wouldn't elaborate any further and so I've always been dying to know what the beef was between them because Cynthia has got to be the nicest person ever I imagine

Yeah i think until you see her in person you forget just how short she actually is.

As for Cynthia I imagine it's because she's a more reserved and quiet person, many people take that as her being a bit of a bitch I suppose. Although Joe is staunchly Republican so it's possible so is she and has the attitude accordingly.

So basically the only thing he would go into detail of is saying "I won't tell you much but she just nit-picked the sh*t out of everything and was super mean about everything being done right for Gaga"

I always took this as maybe the crew wasn't setting something up correctly or maybe there was an error when teams were coordinating lol, but he made it sound like all Cynthia wanted was for the show to go well and because its a god-awful amount of money going into these things, why not be specific if things are going wrong? 

Regardless, I did actually see the Monster Ball that evening (this was years before I met this manager) and I had a fabulous time... so maybe Cynthia was in the right lol
