yesss this season elevated everything for me the characters the setting the storyline. like idk how they filled so much in such a short amount of time but we ended up being fed full 

 

it’s nice to see what happens when creatives can just be creative and not have their artistic vision stifled

in season 2 ep 4 during a relapse, she’d gone to her own funeral where Labyrinth was singing to her   its so depressing because not even god could save her life in the end from a fentanyl OD. I knew Rue was gonna die but jokes on god I couldn’t imagine a more messed up way of her dying like this. I suppose i could sleep knowing she didn’t die as a missing person.

Very fitting to what the show has been about. Substance abuse can and will destroy lives. The sad part is that she didn't OD on purpose, it was Alamo's plan and damn it was diabolical.

I guessed the ending a few episodes ago, but it doesn't even matter; it played out beautifully. I've met many Rues and I'm glad they were properly honored while still showing the reality of what the end of their story often is. Idc about the online chatter. These 3 seasons have been incredible television. The writing is pretty consistently peak and the actors/cinematographer/directors/costume and makeup/lighting designers elevate it into the stratosphere. Sam Levinson is a massive talent with potential for greatness. God bless Zendaya and Colman Domingo. Shoutout to Labrinth; you deserved better. RIP Angus Cloud. 

Idk where the show goes next if they really continue with a new generation, but my hope is they shoot a couple more special episodes and give Nika King her moment to shine. 

Update: Just saw that Levinson confirmed it was the end of the series. I'm glad. It was a gorgeous, devastating, and just ending.
