Gaga Performances You Like And Dislike

Not picking the obvious (Paparazzi VMA) or other's that have been mentioned here already:

 

1. Chromatica medley - VMA's 2020

Medley of her most under-appreciated pop album? Yes please. Set design, outfits, Ari high note & I found the live version of SL a lot more enjoyable over the studio version. Definitely made my lockdown that bit more enjoyable.

 

2. HBDUWM Requiem

Everyone was raving about DWAS while it felt like this masterpiece was getting forgotten about. The 3:20 & 3:54 vocals still have me in a chokehold & I won't mind if they never let go. Really elevated this song from a fun bop to a top 10 Gaga song personally.

 

3. Poker face - Paul O' Grady

Not sure if this is one of the lesser appreciated performances because it wasn't on a major award show or what but it deserves it's flowers. From piano to dance floor, she doesn't miss a beat. Little rasp on her voice really adds to the song too.

 

4. Gypsy - Ampya

One of those performances that cements her talent's above your everyday pop star. Super intimate & the way the fans are going through the motions with the song. That look is amazing too.

 

5. Come to mama - Dive bar

Ok last one before I get carried away.  Always been infatuated with the message of this song & the way it never fails to make me feel good.

My favorite performance of hers remains Swine at SXSW. Honorable mention to basically any performance of Joanne where she speaks on the song and album for a bit.

The only thing I've ever actually disliked is when she does what she did at Enigma (which is a greatest hits show, in all fairness) or TCB where 10+ year old songs are performed in full just 'cause they were hits.

Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame, Paparazzi, Telephone, and Alejandro should never exceed 2 minutes each these days  

Either skip them or medley that ish and get them over with so you can perform new material

I had a really hard time thinking of a performance I disliked so I skipped this thread-- but now I thought of something. The You & I VMA performance with Joe Calderone. A whole mess with an awful rendition of the song, pointless alter-ago, and of course a giant fall with all the beer slipping everywhere...

I loved her Swine SXSW performance with the vomit artist. The GP didn't get it but she doesn't need to explain herself to fans

the artRave, especially the paris live stream... she's screaming way too much

Yesss those 4 are some of my all time favs , especially ARTPOP at Swinefest it made it one of my fav Gaga songs ever the first time I watched it back in 2013.

Also the way the camera panned to Andrew and to different controlled angles was weird and kind of looked like a video game or something(in a bad way). I think it was an interesting concept with poor execution overall.

I adore most of her prefomances. Especially the 2009 VMA Paparazzi, the Monster ball Bad romance, Alejandro, You and I, Speechless, Dance in the dark(The whole show 2bh), Swinefest and thad Vomity doritos show and the ARTPOP release party.. THE iconic born this way Grammies, 2020 Chromatica medley VMA, Happy mistake at the Harlequin show.. all of the Mayhem ones, truly brilliant on her part! Also Joannes tour preformance of Bloody Mary and Bad romance were really spectacular!

As for ones I dislike.. a big portion of the tributes era, where she just oversang and kinda missed the point of a lot of the songs and I felt it was a waste of her own music and the  tv spots to do random covers.. specially the Bowie tribute, as a massive fan of him and Gaga that was so ****ing hard to watch

That is interesting because I disagree completely, I love the paris ARTrave show so much and the "screaming" adds so much energy to the songs and she has so much raw emotion as well, and the what's up cover is phenomenal.

I agree, tbh. The ArtRave screams are seared into my brain in the best way. Used to listen to the audio rip of that show all the time
