i understand why she basically tries to pretend it doesn’t exist but it really is such a fantastic song, unfortunately.

agreed. her lyrics are too on the nose as well and just kind of restate the first verse (dunno if christina wrote that verse or gaga, but regardless it’s just too much of the same). their duet is powerful live but the record just doesn’t hit like the original version

 

edit: I just remembered the solo version came before the duet so those were gaga’s lyrics on the second verse too. point still stands though! it’s just too samey and its inclusion makes it feel like a demo
