However reading over these posts again I think I understand(at least the beginning part) it just becomes a bit confusing that the projections look the same as the characters presented later in the show who are separate, also @Bronco said it is supposed to be the Mistress(as in the one in the rest of the show) but you said it wasn't and that it was just a projection of Gaga's inner thoughts/how she sees her dual identity in the beginning How can it be the Mistress if she is the one who watches over the 2 halves of Gaga(like in the Disease video and during the The Beast performance) And the logic and narrative structure are consistent with the show having a dream logic/theatre of the kind format lmao. No one said those were diametrically opposed. I said you’re overly literalizing it because they’re all functionally extensions of Gaga’s psyche (including the version of the Mistress in Disease). They’re all pieces of a fragmented psyche, so there isn’t, fundamentally, one superseding persona except Gaga herself (which is how the show operates on a meta level). I also never said the Lady in Red wasn’t the Mistress, I said that because the characters are non-literal abstractions of her psyche that they operate on multiple levels. Ns, I don’t know how many times anyone can be expected to explain the exact same thing because the convo is feeling increasingly circular. It’s fine if you find surrealism and dream logic confusing, but at least three people have tried to explain it to you at this point and you seem to insist on overly literalizing it. No it's fine now I understand it a bit better, and I have seen plenty of plays and movies that have dream like logic one of my fav movies (Joker 2019) uses it for it's storytelling and I can understand that just fine, it was just a bit confusing at first because Gaga is playing a few different characters and they transform through the show but I think your explanations have made it more clear now. Also I would say the BTW video follows surrealist themes and logic to a degree and that's one of my fav videos from her and I understood it fine so this has been interesting anyway glad it is cleared up now.
