I mean they filmed the shows very close to the point where they cut the tour short because of serious health issues. There is a very obvious reason why that film never saw the light of day.

Sure, but she hasn’t done that a single time this era. I get that fans have trust issues or w/e, but there’s no real evidence that the film isn’t coming other than people taking REQUIEM’s figurative “funeral” as being a literal moratorium on anything MAYHEM related.

Also fair. I just think this is the most plainly Gaga has spoken about her projects in a very long time so I'm personally inclined to believe that when she says it's over it's really over. She likes to string her fans along a bit in the form of teasing so it feels more "serious", for the lack of a better word.

Is this the first time Gaga has explicitly ended an era? It feels like she's always just rolled from one to another without saying "this is the end of the album era"

she also ended the ARTPOP era before playing gypsy during the last artrave
