The replay value of this version :bradley:

When i listen to the outro, it really feels like an acceptance to death. An epitome of requiem. After listening to all tracks in this show, this is the best reimagination.

I am truly truly satisfied with this era.

same, to me it sounds like the robot is running out of battery and dying, saying it's last words.

I feel like they didn’t actually had to. This is basically a cover which I’m pretty sure it’s allowed to be performed and recorded without the need of any legal action. It’s probably like when Madonna performed Born This Way. You can’t stop people from performing your songs

There's usually a difference between performing and releasing though - that said, the MDNA tour soundtrack didn't cut that bit out so it might not apply to *live* recordings

Personally I like the half split. It felt like current Bruno reaching out to futureGa

“You know, I talk quite schizophrenically about love, in interviews … sometimes I say, I‘ve been in love a hundred times, and other times I say, I‘ve never been in love at all … I guess it‘s the same thing … but in the year 3009, I promise: to myself, to my work, and to all of you, that you will find your future love.

And tonight is very special, because I have never performed, ever, this song live; it‘s brand new … and I built this piano here, just for this one song.

This is for my, future love …”

I lowkey think it's THE standout from Requiem. When I watched it live, that synth punch at the very beginning hit me like a ton of bricks

Spoiler

ok might have been a little high but still

Ngl, as opposed to DWAS on the OG (which is serviceable), the REQUIEM version feels like a genuinely cathartic and satisfying ending: the sensation of the past and future drifting away, sliding into both the peace and unsettling ambiguity of death/sleep. I’ve been listening to the album on loop and the transition from DWAS back into the intro and Disease at the top of the album is an incredibly satisfying cycle tbh

Interestingly enough, I gave myself a coffee enema this morning, DWAS came on shuffle and it still knocked me out clean. A sedative even more powerful than elephant tranquilizer!

oh wow what a throwback I love that song. There is a LOT of poetry in Requiem. I really feels like she's mourning the last 20 years of her life. The next era is going to be one for the books I can tell

Feels like that sui generis auraboros cadence returning in the key of rem cyclical gothic dream continuity iktr
