FIFA-World-Cup-2026-Final-Halftime-Show?

Shakira, Madonna and BTS are not being paid to headline the half-time show during the men’s World Cup final in the United States this summer.

Global Citizen sources, have confirmed that Shakira, Madonna and BTS will not be receiving a performance fee and are instead donating their time to the social justice organization.

The Halftime Show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a landmark initiative working to raise USD $100 million to expand access to quality education and football for children worldwide. The Education Fund has already raised over USD $30 million.

“Performing at the FIFA World Cup final in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is deeply meaningful to me. Without education, children are denied opportunity before they even have a chance. Every child deserves access to quality learning — because education expands possibilities and creates lasting change,” said Madonna.

“I’ve spent my life doing two things — making songs and building schools. At the FIFA World Cup, those two paths come together. Standing alongside Madonna and BTS, I’ll be performing “Dai Dai”, the song I created for this FIFA World Cup and for the kids around the world we will reach with the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. My hope is that on the world’s biggest stage, the importance of investing in children’s education steals the show!” said Shakira, FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund Board Member.

“Music is the universal language of hope and harmony, and we’re honored to celebrate that power at the World Cup by connecting with millions of viewers around the world in support of children’s education,” said BTS.

The Halftime Show will also feature Muppets from Sesame Street, who for generations have brought joyful learning to children around the world. In addition, Kermit, Miss Piggy, and some of the gang from The Muppets, part of The Walt Disney Company, will join in the celebration.

Shakira is partnering with Global Citizen and FIFA to provide access to education for children in underserved communities with Shakira’s royalties from Dai Dai being donated to the Education Fund, and Sony Music will match the first USD 250,000 raised with a donation.

(URGENT) Former pop stars lose everything, performing for food and housing

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

FIFA represents everything for which I have an unaffected scorn.

I mean the promo is so massive im not surprised these are the terms

But tbh im surprised they chose this trio. I can understand Shakira but Madonna and BTS will not be liked by soccers greatest fans

I guess its to try to appeal to other audiences

Recognized and liked and extremely two different things. I recognize TS from the side of her face instantly doesnt mean I like her :rip:

Heterosexual 30 to 50 year old men (arguably the heaviest Fifa fan group) are hardly Madonna or BTS fans

As they shouldn't :ororomunroe:

The only reason I believe Madonna is doing this is because she really want to be having another resurgence with the upcoming alboom, especially with the young gen, that's why she also worked with Sarina & went to her coachela set  :ororomunroe:

Heterosexual 30-50 to men wouldn’t care about any performers at all, they’ll watch The World cup literally for soccer itself.

for everyone else - they would pay more attention to this thing because of super famous Shakira and Madonna. Those names would raise the hype for the Cup
