(well, begging on my knees tbh :cheeky:).

Also going on my knees. Actually out of philanthropic reasons. Friend of mine doesn't has Apple Music and my family account is already full 🥲

I hope someone uploads it somewhere, can't find it anywhere

I don't have an upload but if you let it play on AppleMusic after "The End" there is a whole featurette on the making of, mainly them talking - especially Gaga, but we do hear Michael's idea how these could be ancient ruins and Gaga answers that they're maybe holograms found by a far future LM. It's just tossing around ideas but a possible interpretation! :)

I choose the more optimistic one thar comes through in the show imo: the rubble from the opera lies all around her because of her internal strife - she actively chooses healing by doing what she loves most: making music, yes, there are ruins but she still has herself to fall back on. Simple, but strong, I felt they chose to convey the "ending" to the Mayhem saga that way, watching the concert. But it's obvious they wanted us to have different interpretations - otherwise why add that convo you mentioned? :classy:

If I can find a clip of it I'll dm you.

But she isn't afraid, at least I cannot see her be that way now. Mayhem is more than slightly bonkers, but also the work of a grown woman with many new lived experiences. She grew up but stayed her immensely wonderful self imho, something we were maybe were less sure about after Chromatica (SHE wasn't even sure, she admitted later) but Mayhem gave us our Gaga back - and as enthusiastic, creative, funny, fearless and almost even more energetic than always it seemed (at least insofar as the nerves in her hip membrane, fibromyalgia, migraine and all side effects allowed) and again, imho, they apparently allowed for some of her best videos, album writing + producing AND best tour yet. Yes, these are my opinions, but aren't we lucky she didn't ditch any side of herself, just grew new ones?

Seriously, do you see anyone besides maybe Daft Punk themselves (and frankly, it's their schtick so it's much more surprising here) give DWAS that makeover without the confidence in her vision and artistry? :)

Though probably not very popular opinion alert: Bruno's voice at the beginning irked me a bit, DWAS sounded so much better sung solo by our Ga at the MBT BUT maybe it gave her 1) room to breathe a tiny bit, and 2) represented Bruno singing his part in the past and Gaga taking over live in the future. All is possible!

Anyway, the whole concert and Mayhem Requiem are out of this world/galaxy/multiverse, as a fan since 2008 :worship2:

ETA: Not trying to pick a fight, I just never felt any fear re: her vision from the moment she announced the first single (I'm talking Disease obvi :stalkga:).

Mayhem and Harlequin were pretty fearless, unapologetic Gaga eras, though I'd confidently say that Joanne and Chromatica lacked the certain spark. Like she's largely producing again, the lyricism is top notch, and the looks are quintessential Gaga, whereas I felt like for most of Joanne she was cosplaying a regular gal and on Chromatica she was kind of a parody of Gaga. But everything from the Chromatica tour on seems very deliberate, thought out and something that nobody than Gaga could do.

she's definitely limited by commercial pressure from the label, even Joanne was watered down by the label to have more pop appeal

mother, what must i do?

doppelganger

That was insane. Mayhem Ball was a hard act to follow, but Requiem is ART. It's both old Gaga and new Gaga. Theatrical, bonkers, unapologetic, accomplished and confident.

I will say, in retrospect I kinda wish she did the three bonus tracks, like imagine The dead dance and Kill for love in these ruins :volantis: perhaps for requiem pt 2 the rise of zombiegaga/vampiregaga

Yeah, I always felt like all of those would’ve fit really well in this context, tbh. But oh well lol

Oh my god :noparty: Forever or for a limited time and then it'll be on other platforms?

Yeah I didn't pay much attention to it, I thought it was an usual release, out at midnight local time on all streaming services... My bad lol.
