I thought this thread was going to be details about Gaga herself, not the songs. I wouldn't say this haunts me, but one thing that tortures me about being a fan for so long is that I KNOW WHEN SHE'S LYING about what inspired a song or music video. This goes all the way back to TFM with her saying every song is about a fear that comes with fame. 

A detail that haunts me because I'll never know for sure if it's true or not is that she didn't want to release Applause. For reasons I can't detail here, I was friends with someone close to her and her team in 2013 and this little gossip monster said Aura was supposed to be the first single, she didn't want Applause on the album, but Troy Carter went into a meeting with the label to go over demos she'd recorded and they agreed on her releasing Applause without her having a say.

Similarly, the fight over replacing Venus with DWUW. The friend said she stayed up all night on a call with the label fighting for them to let her continue her promo and release plans for Venus, and we all know what happened.

My high school choir teacher told me that big breaths like this are intentionally kept in songs because our brains notice something is off if we don't hear a singer breathing, that it feels unnatural not to hear it. Worth noting that there's no way this man ever worked in pop music production and this could just be a theory he had.

Yeah, a lot of us thought it was the face tape but I remember times like you can tell there is tape but her eyes still looks more fold, and there's times there isn't a tape but the lid still looks big. In my observation the big eyelid was gone mostly after 2015 (except a few appearance) until recently it is back from last year coachella. It is so interesting. I can imagine this will be the 1st question I ask her when I see her in person

The Stupid Love music video was just pure uninspired slop. The choreography, the wardrobe (dancers AND Gaga), and the sh*tty CGI that was inconsistent and done poorly.

As our resident BTW photoshoot lore expert, I can tell you the cover was not Gaga’s initial idea. Nick Knight made it as an idea to pitch to her when she told him about the vehicle of creativity metaphor.

The original album cover was leaked along with the whole photoshoot. I would post it here but I’m not sure on whether or not I’d get wrong.

It was more in the vein of the single covers, it was her facing the camera, cover her naked torso with her arms and some hair blowing in her face from the same setup as the BTW single cover. And the album name and title was in Impact font in the top left like the deluxe cover.

The “ShowStudio” album cover remix was the original pitch he sent her but in the end they decided on the final image in b+w with the red lips being a signature. The original album cover is visible I think in her Gagavision on the floor when they’re deciding on the covers

In the video also if you watch when she turns to the dancers takes off her latex coat and flashes the dancers behind her the dancer on the far left laughs at her
