Something like this can literally be made on a home desktop PC if you have a strong enough GPU. And before someone brings up the “liters of water per prompt” thing, that’s usually exaggerated or taken out of context. The environmental issue is real, but it doesn’t change the fact that this was much faster and cheaper than actually making a proper rendered/simulated visual. This show has been in the works for months and we're not talking about some indie budget. It's LADY GAGA working on a special with APPLE for crying out loud. Thousands of animators, sculptors or designers would probably offer to do it for free if given the opportunity. The only reason to use AI is convenience.
