New teaser for MAYHEM Requiem

When I first saw the teaser I was like "that's so cool and something different then a regular countdown clock" and I thought it fitted perfectly in the style of the Mayhem album.

Then I started reading this thread and all I could see was people talking sh*t about AI. And my excitement was gone.

This woman can release the "darkest" album ever made with catchy hooks and "bops" and people would still complain about the album font.

It's trully the best time to stan her since BTW 

(Sad for those who can't enjoy Lady Gaga anymore and finding a way to kill their own hype with any tiny detail)

It is what we do best 

but as I said before, they could have clearly anticipated the backlash they'd get for using slop like this.. it's not like not like the Windows 2000 Words title font tbf

And to contribute to the AI convo:

IF it is AI (which seems to be the case) AND there’s no greater point being made about AI (death of art as we know it relating to the whole Requiem concept), then I also would dislike this countdown. Just to say that I always support HER art, but not art that exploits or imitates her (or any artist’s) art without adding to the overall artistic vision.

Now what I do know as a fact? I’m BEYOND thrilled for this show/live album 😭

Are you guys just opposed to AI visuals? I'm sure many creatives are using AI behind the scenes to get ideas and we will never know about that.

She posted three hours ago and the candle is 1/4 melted. If it keeps going down this quick, it’s going to be completely melted by 9AM PDT / 12 EDT . I believe we’re getting the trailer/official announcement today

It's a good concept. And, if you zoom in enough... It's safe to say it's not a real candle - that's for sure. I hope it's CGI and not AI, but frankly... Mhmm

I'm still hyped for Requiem and believe it will be a career highlight. I'm simultaneously and generally sceptical about using AI.

Gaga has always treated the creative process with a lot of respect. She expresses how important it is to put in the work. And how profound it is to be a student of art.

AI is a technology that undercuts all of it. It throws 99% of the creative process and craftsmanship out the window.

So using AI is going against one of her core messages that a lot of fans really appreciate and support.

I realise this is just a teaser for promo. It's not like she's releasing an AI album or whatever. But it's just a questionable precedent to set. Real artists and craftsmen could be supported with a project like this. 

And again, this is all under the assumption that it's AI, and I realize that we don't know that 100% for sure yet.
