I understand what you are saying, but I also do not agree with people bashing Gaga for a candle video. 
Art is way deeper than just an image. Maybe Gaga had a very precise idea of what she wanted, but time wise the only possible way to execute it was Ai. I guess we will never know  
It doesn’t necessarily mean someone from Gaga’s team sat down in front of chat gpt and typed in “create an original countdown for a movie special release” and that’s totally the vibe I am getting from people

CGI of a detailed melting fluid sim lasting hours would take an INSANE amount of time and power, even short fluid sims can be hundreds-thousands of gb. Not saying it can't be done but the cost and time needed would probably put anyone hiring off the idea quick

Whereas obviously using AI is quick and can do countless versions if they aren't happy with things (it could still use vfx if needed, slow versions down to blend over hours and use a separate plate of the candle flame)

I think a big part is because of how passionate Gaga is about art.
It is here to stay, but at what point should it stop being used by artists?

If Gaga starts using AI for lyrics, and then production, and then her voice...

My God why is everyone here complaining about the fact it might be AI. Everyone acting like she committed a crime.

Nobody was complaining when she started using social media or Paint to make things instead of drawing it herself so what is different?

The vision/Idea still comes from the person, AI can enable a faster execution

Also a designer here, and yeah, AI can be a tool. But there’s a pretty clear difference between using it as part of a process and just generating the whole thing and calling it finished.

Horses were replaced with cars for a reason, so did modern medicine because they had flaws that needed to be solved.

The issue isn't technological progression, it's that technology should be a tool and just that. It should not take control of creative progress. As an artist, it annoys me to see takes like this. I'm not saying we should all hold up pitchforks and torches, I'm simply saying that the replacement of human creativity shouldn't be normalized. You could do something like this in Blender and get a similar effect.

AI would take even more time and money to render that thing tho
