Kind of tired of these huge commercial songs returning again - first Bieber, MJ and now Katy Perri. 

However least with "Legendary Lovers" that was a deep cut and never received mainstream status.

Most new music just doesn't captivate audiences. You can see this when you look at global spotify top  50 - this is not unique to Katy. Lots of old songs in there

Actually all of these gaining songs are great pop tracks.
I don’t like Katy or her recent music but her old records were good.

Spotify has a more global reach than AM. Most of AM users are from the US,  Chris Brown is charting with multiple songs on their global chart since his album is #1 in the US but he's nowhere to be found on Spotify.
