About half of Ontarios electricity already comes from Nuclear, the Provinces largest power source. The next largest source Hydro Electricity is less than half of that of Nuclear Edit: OP edited to clarify 4,800MW is the expansion. Is ur "green party" the far left party with emphasis on environemnt as well like it is here in Canada? Im sure that wind energy benefited from shutting nuclear Not that wind isnt great as an energy source at appropriate amounts but its interesting how she now works somewhere that benefited from that decision Edit: I dont know the nuances of your Countries power grid. Id say in general though if you want to expand wind, expand it on top of nuclear as new demand comes and nuclear plants age. Dont decomission nuclear early if you already built nuclear plants that are perfectly functional and essentially throw out money just because would be my 2 cents.
