MJ's music is seeing huge rises as a result of the 'Michael' biopic, way more than I ever could have anticipated! Let's take a look at some highlights. 

As of 1st May, Michael is #1 on the global digital artist ranking. This is pretty huge. He just overtook Justin Bieber who saw big increases following his Coachella performances.

Monthly listeners are rising on Spotify, currently sitting at #15 with 1M+ daily listeners, so this should rise even further. Meanwhile on the Spotify daily songs chart, Billie Jean is at #4, Beat It #7, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough #28, Smooth Criminal #43 and Human Nature #52. 

On the UK official chart, Billie Jean is at #13, Beat It #22 and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough #23. On the albums chart, Michael soundtrack #4, Number Ones #5, Thriller #8, Bad #13 and The Essentials #14.

The film also smashed the box office by breaking the record for a biopic opening weekend with $200M+ global.

It's so crazy! I was watching a sales video of MJs Singles the other day and seeing him flourish in every kind of era from physical to digital to streams, was so wild to see. Truly in awe of how much his music connects people. When I first was discovering his discography on my own I was shocked at how I almost knew every song. The King of Pop indeed.

I don't even understand why Justin got elevated so much. Like alright Coachella impact but doesn't this feel like a bit too much? especially when his recent music... yeah
