This is just some American bs of exaggerating alcohol almost to the level of addictions like fent... It really only takes not to be a fan in denial to realize she's suffering from multitude of mental health issues, and requires seriously regimented medicating... I'm gonna say this the nice way as someone who is 4 years sober and went through alcoholism. Shut the **** up. Anyone who has gone through this knows that being clean and sober is the FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT thing you have to do. How is someone going to seriously talk through their problems if they are still drinking? You HAVE to get sober one day at a time at first. You have to physically get sober and someone who has serious mental health issues literally cannot drink succesfully. Sorry. It ain't gonna happen. Everyone thinks they are the unique exception but.....they aren't. Like ever. Yes most people with alcoholism are dual diagnosis and need to get therapy at the same time, (which she is probably getting if she is going to an expensive rehab because most basic rehabs even REQUIRE that now)....but please keep your trap shut on this subject in the future and stop saying Americans "exaggerate alcohol almost to the level of fent"....like....WHAT? Alcohol almost is worse because it is accepted and legal and drags many of the family members down with it. It most certainly ruines lives, causes death, and is one of the most toxic and horrible substances man has ever created, promoted, and distributed. It's almost outdated and silly we still drink it but I will not go down that rabbit hole. My dad died from it. My aunt died from it. And they didn't do fent or crack or coke. They just drank. And they died at 39 and 45. Alcohol most certainly can be just as awful and CONTRIBUTES to the mental health problems...

What an absolutely non sensical stance to think otherwise, Alcohol kills more people than any other drug. That is a statical fact. More people per year die for alcohol related reasons than die of drug related reasons. More people die of alcohol related reasons per year than people die from all drugs combined. And I say this as a survivor of an abuser who was a druggie not an alcoholic. Educate yourself and look it up. There’s plenty of research and stats available. You can even watch basic videos to teach yourself what a single shot of heroine or fent does to your brain vs how much sociocultural engraining thinking of people like yours enforce people making consistently stupid decisions for alcoholism to do anything... Opiates can ruin you in a snap. You gotta try hard for decades with alcohol... 15 minutes ago, Future Lovers said: Alcohol kills more people than any other drug. That is a statical fact. I don't know what to say to someone who doesn't understand the concept of "per capita" so obviously... You'd be much more credible if you didn't edit this part into your comment, it's hysterical... And that's not even true lmao, statistical death rates of illicit drugs of WHO pretty much only includes overdoses as opposed to alcohol related deaths of 80 years old man dying of whatever... So much yap yap yap, and it's an American with the same exact mindset I described... You still believe culturally in the prohibition (consciously or not), you make it happen... Of course, if you repeat a billion times like a cult that alcoholism is an essential part of your personality like you cannot ever moderate, it's what becomes your reality, and you become an AA rehab case... Y'all need moderation, not believing "one day at a time" bullshit... Alcohol is not a deeply addictive life ruining substance... Just educate yourself... Alcohol can never be as destructive as an opioid like fent or heroin in a comparable way; one hit of those, you're halfway lost. For alcoholism to be destructive, you need to make consistent stupid decisions out of your own volition for years... Alcohol is the top social catalyst we adopted as human civilization across all geographies and ages... It goes as further back than Babylon's festivities. You only die from it after you drink like you're at the Babylonian party non-stop for decades... Britney can also not recover with therapy... Her behaviour showed manic and psychotic tendencies many times... That's antipsychotic / lithium-needing territory... It's not a person's lack of trying at that point, their brain biochemistry won't allow them to get better without regimented medicating... So you are literally just factually wrong and an asshole and I wish GagaDaily would ban you. I am not an AA case or a rehab case. I literally plan raves and EDM events for a living and am 4 years sober. I also tried many many many times to deny I was an alcoholic and went to therapy before I stopped drinking. Also science has proven you wrong. Alcoholism is genetic and is not something some people can control. blaming this on an “American mindset” is wildly ignorant and stupid considering Europeans also have problems with alcoholism. People literally do not choose to be an alcoholic for decades. There are people who were never abused or had no trauma and a great childhood…that still become alcoholics. Everything you are saying is proven wrong by modern science and ironically you are the one that needs to educate yourself and stop formatting your opinion as factual. It’s literally not. it’s an not American thing. It’s recognized by American, Asian, Australian, European, African etc insurance companies as a disease. I pray that anyone in the comments section dealing with this disease does not read this person’s comment and blames their own decision making purely on their problems with alcohol. and no….therapy alone will not cure alcoholism. It’s not something you can moderate if you’re predisposed to it. Which more are than they realize. it’s the only thing on Earth you can put into your body that will negatively impact almost every organ in your body all at once. also you can kill yourself in one time from alcohol….its called alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, or mixing it with certain medications. It most certainly causes immediate death. And the stats on that are even low because many death certificates don’t list alcohol as the reason for death when it was an accident, organ failure, etc.
