But from 2 out of 2 songs so far, this is a whole different album, nothing that reminiscent of the og,

I disagree- I feel so free's instrumental would fit right in on Confessions and many have made the link between it and Future Lovers.

And lyrically I think BYL lives in the same world as Let it will be/Like it or not/How high/push

Hmmm the vocals sound very flat. Its almost as of madonna and sabrina were in the middle of household chores and stuart price run up to them like, "quick sing!". I just imagine madonna wearing marigolds washing up like ooooop lemme sing a sec.

River

I mean it's cute and a banger

but every dj could have released that? it's pretty dated.

And Sabrina is kind of wasted here? she's there just to bring streams from her fans.. like what BP's role was with Sewer Candy

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I need a Sabrina solo, she’s barely in the song.

Agh... I don't mind this, neither did I mind I feel so free, but when you name your album "Confessions II" the stakes are high.

For me confessions on a dancefloor is such an iconic album. Not only music-wise or career-wise, it tells a powerful story of heartbreak, inner strength, moving on, freeing your self. Every song is important for the album, it completes the chapter.

With Confessions II, everything I hear until now is... nice. Just this. Had she named the album anything else I would like the songs more, but with a statement like this.. I expected something just as ground breaking. It just feels hollow and a shame to call it "Confessions II", it's not even close..

This is kinda why I dislike when a song premières live cause live ALWAYS beat the studio version to death :ladyhaha:

Overall a bop, i wish it was a bit longer and it had more room to breathe, but its a gr8 song!  Their vocals mesh well and it will probably be elevated by the video. Thought overall it's very safe for a Madonna track, but I guess she understood people hated the experimental side of Madame X.

Overall I wish she didn't name the album /era Confessions II, like we all knew,  people would be stuck on comparing it to #1 instead of having it as it's own body of work. The essence is there, she's speaking on things that are on her mind over dance music, just from a different reference point this time around.

A cute H&M track for when you're trying on that $29.99 tank top in the change room.

Cream or no cream?

Not really feeling this one. So far this and IFSF are not living up to the first Confessions album at all and I'm very surprised Stuart Price is the one producing these. Also I don't know why Madonna is talking so much on these songs it is kind of distracting and it sounds like she is mumbling or has something stuck in her mouth when she talks so that doesn't help. Sabrina doesn't add much to the song either and it's pretty mellow for a "dance" song also. I think I will keep my expectations medium to low for the album now but I expected a bit better(though was already a bit cautious due to not liking her last few albums).

the song is not really going anywhere but a bop is a bop :sis:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?
