DWAS v. TDD v. RUNWAY

DWAS is an elite song, the chart success proved that.

TDD was OK, it felt very much like a Mayhem leftover which, tbh, it may well have been.

Runway is not a great look. Doechii does all the heavy lifting and her sections are brilliant, as is the production. It feels like Gaga generally toes the line with camp perfectly (cc Abracadabra), but Runway goes overboard and ends up being too corny. I kind of tolerate the song and video, because I know some fans love this kind of stuff but its just not for me.

DWAS>Runway>TDD

When I first heard DWAS, I heard the quality of the material in it, it resonated on the right level and I knew it was going to be a hit. I had this with Abracadabra (and LoveDrug and SOAM as well).

 

TDD was underwhelming on first listen and needed to grow on me. Runway is something in between

TDD was a cute moment for Gaga and The Mayhem Ball but I haven't listened to it more than once since the jumpscares.

Croak With A Frown is a pretty song but it's not for me.

The Dead Dance all the way. It's a gaga song. It's part of of her imagery, so is her cameo in Wednesday,

I don't really like collabs in general. That kind of hybrid thing is really fun for the artists I reckon. But I always feel like I'm caught between two stools.

That said DWAS is a great song, well produced, even though I always skip it when listening to Mayhem.

Now RUNWAY is just PR bs to me. Totally unworthy to figure in LG catalog. Even though her pressence is sparkling great in the MV.

no literally gaga and bruno said DWAS was not going to be on either of their albums when they released the song. and then gaga came out and said that DWAS was finally added to the album because she felt like it was "a missing piece" or some BS

She said “while you wait for LG7.” Then she threw you nay-sayers a bone and dropped that flop Disease* because you couldn’t handle the truth, our beloved Ga is a ballad songstress and chanteuse - she knew there would be shrieks and sobs if they let the monsters know she was leading an album with a ballad. 
 

*not a flop, just wanted to add dramatic flair.

I like all 3 actually especially DWAS they just arent among my absolute favs. Id say
